Chaos at pro-refugee march as hooded protesters launch SMOKE BOMBS at police
A group of protesters have stormed St Pancras station during a planned demonstration held as a show of support towards refugees.
Violence broke out at the Eurostar station at around 6pm on Saturday as demonstrators smashed their way through a police barrier before officers were hurled with missiles including smoke bombs.
Footage shows about 100 protesters break through police resistance to enter Eurostar station. The chaos took place as a group of No Border campaigners took part in a protest to call for an end to immigration controls.
It is unknown at this stage if any arrests have been made.
A BTP spokesman said: "A number of protesters arrived at St Pancras rail station and officers are currently facilitating a peaceful protest.
"Around this time a number of other individuals arrived and caused disorder and missiles including smoke bombs were thrown at police officers.
"This group was dispersed and officers remain at the station."
